It’s the most wonderful time of the year…that time when you decide to send a holiday card out to all of your friends and family, including the ones you haven’t spoken to in years, don’t necessarily like that much, or aren’t even sure are still alive.
So, what exactly do you include on a Holiday Card?
Do include a photo! Some of your card recipients probably haven’t seen you or your family memebers in a while, especially if the live out state.
Do talk about your year! Let your friends and family know all that your family has accomplished this past year. Don’t be too braggy - touch on the big moments. New house, recently engaged?? Pick one or two highlights and stick to those.
Use a neutral end greeting: Happy Holidays, Seasons Greetings, Merry Christmas! Include salutations with your family name and member’s names.
Want to be extra thoughtful? Add a handwritten note along with the card!
Try to mail your cards no later than December 15th! This leaves ample time for your trusty postal service to get your cards to your receipients BEFORE Christmas! Unless your opting for a New Year’s salutations.
